Highlights from the October
The month of October will always have a special place in children’s hearts because of “Halloween''. The children enjoyed the parade and the attention they received for their costumes. The parent participation to handout goodies to the children during the parade made children ecstatic. Visit to the pumpkin patch was another great event and just like last year, we had a blast!.
Children also had endless fun having hands- on experience with science experiments revolving around the Fall/Halloween theme, “pumpkin volcano eruption”, their most favorite.
We thank all our parent volunteers who took time off their work to help us execute our October events very smoothly and successfully.

Important Reminders
Drop off
- Please drop off your child on time. The day’s orientation and a lot of learning/team discussion happens during the circle time. The teachers set the agenda, go over the Montessori jobs, grace, courtesy, days-of-the-week, weather, calendar and many other things. Your child may fall behind if he/she misses the circle time. Also, you will end up disrupting the class if you come after the circle time begins. Please be sensitive to the other children in class.
- If you are late and arrive after 9:15 am, please avoid walking through the classroom. Quietly hand over your child and belongings to the teachers near the door and/or try to minimize the disruption.
- If you or your child is having trouble with the drop off transition, the teachers will be happy to help you. As soon as you are ready to say “good-bye” the teacher will take your child from you so that you may leave.
Cell phone usage in the facility
- Please refrain from using cell phones while in the facility during pick up/drop off time since it may disrupt the classroom in session or others in the reception area. Please step outside if you need to attend a phone call.
Absence or tardiness
- Please call or email the center director if your child is going to be absent or going on a vacation.
